Saucier is operated by HAYi LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it refers to HAYi LLC.
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive and store your Apple User ID (an opaque identifier — not your email or Apple ID password) and your account creation date. Your Apple identity token is verified to complete sign-in and is not retained longer than necessary for that purpose.
Profile data. You may optionally provide dietary preferences, food allergies, favorite cuisines, cooking skill level, and kitchen equipment. This helps the AI personalize recommendations.
Conversations. Your messages to the AI chef, including any photos you share, are stored on our servers. The AI's responses are also stored. This history powers your ongoing conversations.
Recipes and shopping lists. Recipes generated by the AI or created by you, along with shopping list items, are stored on our servers and tied to your account.
Chef memory. The AI extracts long-term cooking preferences from your conversations — things like flavor affinities, ingredient preferences, and technique observations. This memory makes the AI more helpful over time.
Usage data. We track the number of AI tokens consumed per request to enforce usage limits and manage costs. We also collect bounded product analytics and diagnostic events to understand feature usage, conversion, and app reliability. We do not use ad networks, social media SDKs, session replay, or broad autocapture.
Network and security metadata. When you make requests to our servers, we may transiently process your IP address to derive coarse operational metadata — such as country, network type, and risk indicators (e.g., whether the connection originates from a VPN or known abuse source). This derived metadata is retained for security, fraud detection, and operational debugging. The raw IP address itself is not stored as part of your account data or user profile.
Subscription status. If you subscribe to Saucier Pro, we store your subscription status and Apple transaction ID for verification. We never see or store your payment method — Apple handles all billing.
Local settings. Preferences like unit system, temperature unit, and haptic feedback are stored locally on your device. These are never sent to our servers.
Note: We may derive coarse country-level geography from your IP address for security purposes, as described in Section 2. This is not precise location tracking.

We share data with a limited set of service-provider categories to operate Saucier:
AI model provider. When you send a message, your message text, relevant conversation history, chef profile, chef memory, and any image you choose to share may be sent to our AI model provider to generate the response. We configure our API use so customer prompts and outputs are not used to train the provider's public models. More information is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
Platform, authentication, and payments. We use Apple for App Store distribution, Sign in with Apple, and in-app purchases. Apple processes sign-in and payment data under its own privacy policy. We never receive your Apple ID password or payment card details.
Diagnostics and product analytics providers. We use service providers for crash reporting, diagnostics, and bounded product analytics. These providers may receive crash information, device/app metadata, and limited product events. We do not send raw prompts, full recipe bodies, conversation transcripts, payment data, or authentication secrets to these providers. Session replay and broad autocapture are disabled.
Infrastructure, storage, and security providers. We use service providers for cloud hosting, object storage, abuse prevention, and related operational support. These providers receive only the data needed to store content, deliver the service, or protect the app.
Search and research providers. If Saucier retrieves external information for a cooking task, we may send the search query needed to retrieve that information. We avoid including account credentials or unnecessary identifiers in those requests.
We do not use ad networks or social media SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Conversations, recipes, shopping lists, and chef memory persist indefinitely to provide a continuous experience. Security audit logs are retained for compliance purposes.
When you delete your account, all associated data — including conversations, recipes, shopping lists, chef memory, profile information, and usage logs — is permanently deleted from our servers.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. To exercise any data rights not available through the app, contact us at the address below.
Saucier is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you use Saucier from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Saucier after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
